The library of the Institute of the History of Charles University and Archive of Charles University is part of the system of libraries of Charles University. This specialised library provides public library and information services and collects specialised literature pertaining to the history of schools and education with special focus on the history of Charles University, for which it develops bibliographic tools.

The library contains 57,180 volumes and regularly receives 130 periodicals. It also keeps all books and other printed materials of the Karolinum Press.
